Every strategy we sell has a free Backtest Edition: the same strategy code, compiled to run inside the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester on whatever data your broker gives you. No email, no card, no form.
What it is
- The same strategy code as the licensed build, with its tested preset files, packaged in the same zip.
- A file that runs only in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester, on any account the terminal is connected to, with no expiry.
- A way to test a strategy on your own broker’s prices, spread and dates before you decide anything.
What it is not
- It does not start on a chart, on a demo account or a live one, so it never places a real-time order.
- It is not a time-limited trial, and it needs no licence key and no sign-up.
- It is not account-locked. The licensed build is: it is compiled for the MT5 account numbers you give at checkout.

Install it in four steps
- Download the zip for the strategy you want and unzip it.
- In MetaTrader 5, choose File → Open data folder. Copy the .ex5 into MQL5/Experts and the .set files into MQL5/Presets, or run the included install.ps1, which does the same.
- Restart MetaTrader 5, so the Expert Advisor appears under Navigator → Expert Advisors.
- Open the Strategy Tester, pick the Expert Advisor and XAUUSD, load the preset from the Inputs tab and start the test.
