Prop-firm daily reset clock

Pick your firm, or enter its rule, and your broker’s MT5 server clock. The page shows when the daily loss limit resets on your own clock, the server clock and UTC for the next seven days, counts down to the next one, and flags the days the gap between the firm’s reset and server midnight changes.

GMT+2 in winter and GMT+3 in summer, on the US dates, is common among MT5 brokers. Check yours.

The presets and where they come from

Rules change. Each preset is the firm’s own page as read in September 2026, and it describes the firm’s standard accounts; other programmes may differ. Open the firm’s page before you rely on a preset.

How to read your broker’s server time in MT5

  1. Open Market Watch (Ctrl+M). The time at the top of the window is the server’s clock, not your computer’s.
  2. Compare it with UTC. The difference is the server’s offset: 15:00 on the server at 12:00 UTC is GMT+3. Or type the server time into the field above and the page works it out.
  3. Find out whether it switches. Many MT5 servers run GMT+2 in winter and GMT+3 in summer, switching on the US dates so that server midnight falls on the New York 17:00 close. Your broker’s help pages usually say; if they do not, read Market Watch again after the second Sunday of March.

Why the reset moves on the server clock

A prop firm measures its daily loss limit from one fixed moment a day, and each firm picks its own clock for that moment. Some reset at midnight in Prague, some at 17:00 in New York, some at midnight UTC and some at midnight on their MT5 server. Your broker’s server clock is another clock, and your own is another again: a robot or a routine keyed to one of them can be an hour or more away from the one that counts.

Take a 00:00 Prague reset and a server on GMT+2 in winter and GMT+3 in summer, switching on the US dates. For most of the year the reset reads 01:00 on the server. The US moves its clocks on the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday of November; the EU on the last Sundays of March and October. In the weeks between those Sundays one clock has switched and the other has not, and the reset reads 02:00 on the server instead. The list above flags those days for whichever pair of clocks you enter.

For a firm that resets at midnight server time, the firm’s clock is the server clock, so the two cannot drift apart. What moves in those weeks is the reset in your own time and in UTC.

This page does arithmetic on clocks and nothing else. It says nothing about how much to risk or how to trade, and a firm’s rule is the firm’s: the current version of its page is the one that counts.
